me and how I work...

I hold a BSc Honours Degree in Addiction Counselling and am a registered member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I am an accredited drug and alcohol practioner and member of The Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals (FDAP). I also worked for The Care Quality Commission as a specialist mental health and addiction advisor. I am fully insured, enhanced DBS checked and happy to provide proof of qualifications and documents upon request.

Originally from Greenwich CT and NYC, I moved to London in 1987. I have over 15 years of sustained sobriety from alcohol and abstinence from drugs, having overcome 20 years of alcohol and drug misuse. Prior to working in addiction and mental health, I was involved in theatre, music and film in both NYC and England. I now live in the  UK with my husband and Bob the dog.

Confidentiality is at the heart of my sober coach and sober companion practice. My discreet

service adapts to each client's individual work, family and social situation, prividing calm practical advice and support to ensure clients reach and maintain their goals. All clients are fully assessed and confidentiality contracts are completed prior to assessment.

My bespoke sober coach or companion service helps individuals become, or stay free, from alcohol or drugs. It is often appropriate for those whom other more traditional approaches have not been successful, or are not practical given work, family and social commitments.

I work with people from all walks of life, creative industries, finance, fashion, music and sport.

I can work with a client for one hour,  one day or even one year, both nationally and internationally.

I work one on one and in some cases 24 hours a day with clients. I am discreet and blend into your lifestyle much like a personal assisant. However, my job is solely to help you find or maintain abstinence. I am not a hired AA sponsor and I am not your counsellor, but I do help you find other support as needed.

There is no one size fits all solution or program. I support clients in finding a structure, or create a program which helps them identify and create healthy long term coping strategies that will hopefully last a life time.
